Ali is from the north west of England where he began djing 14 years ago playing detroit techno and chicago house. Soon after this he began experimenting with making machine music which resulted in the upstart of Human Shield records together with cohorts Peter Mangalore and Tommy Walker 3.He is one half of synth-pop sensations Heartbreak who released their debut album 'Lies' last year. He now co-runs labels Human Shield and Cyber Danceand is involved with Magic Waves Radio, Cyber Dance's broadcasting project whichis now hosted on Dutch Internet radio station Intergalactic FM.Releasing solo records since 2003, including four very fine 12"s for London's now defunct Dissident label, Ali's next ep will be released in March on France's 'Zone' label displaying a new harder style, a departure from his recent ep 'Running On Vapours' on Moustache Records. His dj sets vary from Italo disco, techno and electro. A talented producer and dj openly in thrallof the 80's heyday of synth-pop and disco, 2010 will be a defining year for Ali seeing more releases and collaborations including his debut album.
